The Blog King: Edition II

After a three week absence, the blog is back for it's second installment. Today on the agenda is sports, fat kids, music and a little bit of medicine from Dr. Shooter.

Is it just me...

Is it just me or are kids getting a lot more cocky these days? Today I was walking down to the shops wearing a Liverpool shirt, and on the way their is a school, and some...

I feel the greatest I've ever felt in three months at the moment. Why? Because the football season is back Smile

Not only have I already watched two Chelsea games in the 3 and a half days the season has been running for, the A-League has improved beyond doubt that it is moving up in the world. We see the new franchises, Gold Coast and North Queensland, sit on opposite ends of the ladder, two of the four semi finalists from last year haven't won a game, and one select game on Saturday night produced six of...

It’s finally here. Ok, in these blogs, l will be basically be detailing the week’s events in the sporting arena. I will not be able to do every sport, but l will certainly try to. I’m hoping to write quite a big amount, so it may not always be in the one blog, it may come in 2 or 3 different...

TRI-NATIONS

The Teams had a break last weekend so there is no game to report on
However big match-up this week, especially for the Wallabies

The All Blacks take on the Wallabies in Sydney and a lot rides on this game. All Blacks win, they retain the Bledisloe Cup and close the gap on the Springboks. Wallabies win and they keep both their Bledisloe and Tri-Nations hopes alive!

My tip: All...

Feldy at the Footy

In recent weeks, we have seen a couple of coaching changes. Funnily enough, it wasn’t at Richmond, or North Melbourne. It was, of course, at Collingwood and Sydney that these changes were made, with similar systems set up. Former Collingwood captain, Nathan Buckley, will take over from Mick Malthouse at the Magpies in two years, while former Syd Barker medalist John Longmire will take over from popular Swans coach Paul Roos in a similar format.

Is this going to become the norm for the league’s coaching arrangements? It wouldn’t be a bad...

Broncos have no chance of beating the Entrenched Top 5 Team that is the Mighty Penrith Panthers all such thoughts to the Contrary are clearly delusional.
Deep down all panthers Fans are very happy to be facing such an inept side in this crucial round of the season.
Not so impressed with the favouritism afforded to the Broncos by giving them a day game against us night Specialists even though it won't mean shit as they are Hopeless .
Frank #1 doesn't like Hunt and Hunt knows it he'll pull out with a heartlidge for sure as he'll get no help from the worst pack of fowards seen since...

Ok the soccer season is kicking off this week in England and has just kicked off in Australia so i thought i'd look at Aussies around the world that have moved, well some of them

Michael Theoklitos - Melbourne Victory -> Norwich City
A Great idea and a move i think would have worked nicely for him, not the hardest league, a good team and a chance to prove to higher teams he is the real deal, while if he is only mediocre, could still be promoted to the championship. I don't think any of us saw a 7-1 defeat coming to Colchester in the first game. A bad...

TRI-NATIONS

Australia travelled to South Africa to meet the Springboks at Cape Town. The Wallabies were looking for their first win of the tournament and the Springboks were hoping for their 3rd win a row and an unbeaten record on home soil.

Wallabies got the ideal start to the match with an early try to Adam Ashley-Cooper in only the second minute in the match. This got the Aussie commentators (that I had to listen...

Feldy at the Footy

Season 2009 is officially over for the oldest player in the AFL – yes, Tiger legend Matthew Richardson won’t be returning with the boys from Punt Rd this year, and he’s still awaiting a contract for next season. But will he get this contract. He’s got everything going for him in this goal – Ben Cousins has voiced his support, the Tigers faithful would probably be less faithful if he was let go, and his sister is married to the coach. But will he eventually get that contract?

I personally don’t think he will. If Richmond were likely to be...

TRI-NATIONS

With the All Blacks losing the first test in Bloemfontein it was vital that they picked up a victory in the second test against the Springboks in Durban. With South Africa full of confidence from previous performances it was always going to be tough for the ABs to come away with the win.

The ABs got the start they were looking for, with Isaac Ross scoring the first try of the match. 12 mins in and...

Feldy at the Footy

What a week it has been in the footy world. North Melbourne legend Adam Simpson will play his last game tonight, Nathan Buckley and Mick Malthouse will work as a team at Collingwood, and the for the first time in a while, the bad Port showed up for a Showdown. But all of this has been overshadowed by one name, a name that hasn’t really come up in AFL talk very often – Karmichael Hunt.

In case you’ve been living under a rock this last week, Karmichael Hunt, or Khunt as league fans seem humorously inclined to call him, is an NRL star who,...

Will be interesting, a guarantee

I'll always edit the recentmost one into the OP, so.....

I often wonder if anyone is actually aware of the magnitude of domination that the two new teams will have on the existing competition. Gold Coast enters the 2011 season with;

It does confuse me about how people think the concessions given to the Gold Coast new club. It will allow a new magnitude of domination in the future, and the Western Sydney club with share this, in comparison to...

Just Yesterday, My mates and I went Go-Karting to celebrate my friend's birthday at Minto which is near the Liverpool area in Sydney. I was pretty excited to go Go-Karting, but it was a RIP - OFF... $44 bucks for 3 times. Which lasted around 7 Mins per game.

So when we hopped in our Karts I was pretty pumped, and when we all drove off, my annoying mate just had to smash the back side of my Kart, and my Kart just spun 360's and I smashed into the tyres which was really PAINFUL.. and then one of my blind friend came at full speed and smashed me when I was stuck. Which was even more painful,...

Well, well, well. 1-0 down in the Ashes isn't a comfortable place to be, as English fans would know all too well Razz

England were deservably winners in the Second Test at the Home of Cricket, Lord's. If Haddin, Clarke and our tailenders had rallied and managed to win the game with a world-record chase on the last day, it would've been a very sweet taste for Australian cricket fans. However justice wouldn't have been served.

The cricket we played in the Second Test was abysmal, there is no other...
