Been thinking recently about some big sporting upsets and have come up with a couple.

1. Kiwis V Kanagroos - 2008 RLWC Final
2. Bangladesh V Australia - ODI in 2005

What are some sporting upsets you can think of?

Giants beating the Patriots in the 2008 Superbowl. Patriots were 18-0 and had shut-out pretty much all of their opponents throughout the whole year. The Ginats were a wildcard team that year and had a hectic post-season to beat the pats 17-14.

Probably could add the two times France have knocked the All Blacks in the RWC first in '99 then in '07, that sure does bring back some sad memories.

Hmm.. Manly's grand final win wasn't really an upset, but I really didn't expect to win by 40 points.

Didn't they release a book a few days before the SB titled 19-0.

There were so many weeks where I was hoping for them to lose just one game. They lost the only game that counted.

I would say Hull beating us 2-1 at home is more of an upset, Stoke are a good team at the Britannia and can beat anyone at there.

the first one i thought of was the superbowl
but in rugby league there a plenty

the Knights defeating Parra in 2001 GF, and probably beating Manly in the 97 GF lol

the Broncos defating the Storm in 2006 GF, and their first ever game when they flogged Manly, the previous season's premiers, 44-10
