If that's the way it's going to pan out, Carlton will win the RD.Panos won't last that long IMO
Also A reminder to my AFLMG Coaches, GC's players cannot be picked.

Matt Burgan is a shit draft Journo. I only trust Emma Quayle.

I don't care where Panos goes, but, he should be the first KPF picked. I rate Temel, but he shouldn't be ahead of Panos. Hooper way too low for AA and Best Player shortlist. No Thorp?

Indeed. But I think we'd be idiots to take Laidlaw with our second to be honest.

Its the rookie draft, most players wont play a game of senior football and very few go onto have a long AFL career. I don't really care who we take, but Daw does look like a good type.

True, but since the turn of the millennium ...

2000: Leigh Harding
2002: Michael Firrito
2004: Josh Gibson (or not); Scott McMahon
2005: Ed Lower (still on the list)
2006: Leigh Adams; Matt Campbell
2007: Nathan Grima; Cruize Garlett; Alan Obst

A relatively success decade you'd think.

We havnt gone too bad either
Off the top of my head

Weve had Bret Thornton, Michael Jamison, Aaron Joseph, Jeff Garlett come off rookie list

It is becoming a more and more important draft each year

We have done alright, looks like we have done better in the rookie draft then the national draft.

Clubs are finding better players in the rookie draft these days, but i don't have a problem with us selecting someone like Laidlaw, who is a ready made footballer and is ready to jump into the team if we have a few bad injuries.

Sam Power was a 'ready made' footballer and most of us hated him ...

I can't remember if he was traded for or picked up in the national draft. Either way he was in the team every week for a year and most of us couldn't work out why and he was keeping a few youngesters from getting more of a shot.

Its a lot different to Laidlaw, who will play in the 2's for most of the year and we wont hear about him much, unless he is elevated after a long term injury.

Umm fail Neil.
