This is a thread to name some players who you think will play for Australia. I'll start off.

Mitchell Marsh - Twenty20, ODI and maybe Tests. He is only 19 and he has had a terrific season so far. I'm sure he'll play Twenty20 and ODI cricket but I haven't seen him bat in Sheffield Shield enough yet.

George Bailey - ODI and maybe Tests. Since getting the captaincy job this year he has really stepped and has been some very big scores in ODD cricket and Sheffield Shield cricket. He's 27 so he still has a bit of cricket in him

Cameron Borgas - ODI and Tests. He has been in terrific form this season. He's hit some massive scores. He's pretty young as well I think.

Steve Smith, he's tearing it up for NSW, looking really good for the future. Smile

Wes Robinson is 29, I don't think that is very young.

Anyway I like the look of these players:

P.Hughes (He should still be in the test team)
G.Bailey
M.Marsh
M.Wade
J.Hastings
S.Smith
P.George
G.Haberfield

Yep Khawaja will definitely be a star of the future. Cowan couldn't really get a game for NSW but since he has moved to Tas he has been in amazing form.

Michael Hill might be a solid batsmen in the future. Xavier Doherty is a top bowler. Burt Cockley might turn out alright, ive seen him with some good figures.

The two QLD pace bowlers seem alright. Cutting and Loughlin. Both young and picked a few wickets last season and this season.

Ben Lauglin has already played for Australia in ODIs. He toured the Pakistanis tour. Are you referring as him playing test for Australia carlton10??

Dunno. Just saying that they could be players that get a lot of games for Australia in the future.

As you said in the OP Carlton, Mitch MArsh.

I have seen him bat a few times now, and he has what it takes to be in the Australian side in the future. He may need to work on being a bit more careful though. From what I have seen he really likes to go for the hit, but the good thing is, I haven't seen him hit one high up in the sky, he is smart, and very good at slogging it in a safe area. He played in the U19's team against india in April earlier this year.

He actualy is a good Aussie Rules player as well, he played for WA in the 2008 Under 18 Champs.

As for Cutting, I remember I am pretty sure I was at his debut. I see a lot of potential in him. I think he will probably get the chance to play for Australia but I am unsure on how he will go, I guess there is only one way to find out though.

Matthew Sibsley - he's postig some good bowling figures with his left arm mediums in the under 8's. Been trained by Nathan Bracken so, he's bloody awesome. Also gives people lip when he bowls them "So ive got nothing aye"

^Lol.

Steve Smith has been overhyped by the media quite a bit.

I've watched a couple of Ford Ranger Cup matches, which he's played in. His batting has been impressive, but it's his bowling that has let him down thus far in his career. Obviously you would expect his bowling to get better over time.

Mitch Marsh is definitely a future Australian player. He should be around in Australian colours for a long time considering he's only 18 now and performing at State level. He played a gem of an innings against the Tigers on Sunday. I'm just hoping the selectors don't stuff him around when he is eventually given a chance at International level.

Others (players who haven't played for Australia):

Josh Hazlewood (NSW)
Usman Khawaja (NSW)
Ben Cutting (QLD)
Alister McDermott (QLD)
Scott Walter (QLD)
James Smith (SA)
James Faulkner (TAS)
Michael Hill (VIC)
James Pattinson (VIC)
Matthew Wade (VIC)
Ashton May (ACT)

I don't think he's been overhyped, I've been impressed when I've watched him but yeah his batting is better than his bowling.
