COLLINGWOOD president Eddie McGuire has labelled AAMI Stadium as "basically unsafe" for visiting fans.

"It is unhospitable (sic) ... it is basically unsafe if you are from the opposition side," McGuire on Melbourne radio this morning after a report in today's Herald Sun that branded Adelaide fans as "feral".

The AFL has approved a controversial coach's box for Adelaide and Port Adelaide behind the AAMI Stadium goals - and says visiting clubs wanting the same view will have to sit in the grandstands.

McGuire declared his wife Carla feels so intimidated at South Australian games that she now will not join him at AAMI Stadium.

"There is one ground in the country my wife now refuses to come to - and it is AAMI Stadium," McGuire said.

"Because they stand there 10 deep and just give it to you."

McGuire repeated claims that his team staff on the Collingwood bench had urine tipped on them.

He also took issue with the Power, both on and off the field, virtually declaring Port will bend the rules if not break them while under the direction of coach Mark "Choco" Williams.

"You know when you go to Port Adelaide they'll do everything ... that's the Port Adelaide way, get used to it," he said. "You know what 'Choco' is going to do and he is not going to change."

No surprise this idiot is complaining over something else, now it is about fans at AAMI Stadium. Every team has their 'feral' fans, he is basically labeling all the fans of Adelaide as feral. Personally i cannot stand Eddie McGuire, but wont elaborate any further about him.

Eddie actually never once used the word feral I beleive... nonetheless good headline writing from the Sun...

He claims that it is 'basically unsafe' to travel to AAMI Stadium. So in saying that, he thinks that our fans are so atrocious that he doesn't even want to travel to the stadium and sit with any of them. In my language that basically defines feral.

You know what the thing is though.

Some people label whole states or whole clubs as feral.

EVERY team has their feral supporters, but not all of them are feral. Everyone calls every Collingwood fan feral, so what's the problem with Eddie calling Port and Adelaide fans feral, they have done the same thing.
