| Just wondering guys what you think Ben Te'o's chances of playing Origin are ?
Now before you all lampoon me for being stupid, here are some reaosns:
1. He has officially pledged his alligence to QLD, and has said he will stick by it no matter how many times NZ ask
2. He has probably been Brisbanes best forward this year, barring Sam Thaiday, and has shown he is great in both attack and defence.
3. He has shown versatilty this year, playing second row, center and hooker. Also has some ball skills, for a make shift five eighth, sort of like Karmichael Hunt
4. He has pulled off massive hit after massive hit this year on players who are Origin standard, and doesn't back down to anyone, NO MATTER THE CALIBRE OF PLAYER
This being said, I know he wouldn't make the side in the second row department, but I think he would make a great fit on the bench, as the Utililty player. I have gone through all the players, and we dont have a good Utility player now that Karmichael is gone. I think he would be as close a player to Special K as possible. What do you guys think ? |

| Born in NZ, played for Junior Kiwis...I hope he never plays for QLD just because I reckon he should play for NZ. _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/RocknrollHendo

| I wouldnt be opposed to him being picked for QLD but I doubt he will at this time. But if his form keeps to the great standard it is at now and an injury occurs I wouldnt be suprised to see him get a game this year. |

Perhaps, but who does he replace, the side is likely to look if everyone is available
8. Petro 9. Smith 10. Price 11. Thaiday 12. Harrison 13. Stagg
15. Shillington 16. Myles 17. Hannant
With Bolton, Scott, Parker, Crocker, Costigan, Luck etc all conceivably playing a role if those players are injured. |

Didn't Teo already play for NZ though? If he did he's more in the Tony Carroll boat than the Hunt boat. |

I dunno maybe he hasn't, whatever, I don't think there's anything wrong with him declaring his allegiance either way, if you're born somewhere but grow up somewhere else I think you have a right to play where u grow up if that option is open and you want to. |

He played for the junior Kiwis when he was a kid but has never played in the actual kiwi side. Played for Samoa in the world cup because he turned down New Zealand because he wanted to play for Queensland. |

Well there you go then, what's the problem with that then, he's been up front from the beginning in declaring where his allegiances were, and should have the opportunity to pursue those goals IMO, albeit that I don't think he has a chance of selection in this series at least. |

| Yeah I've got to agree. He has made his intentions clear since the day he debuted on first grade so it shouldnt be an issue with him playing origin. Although he would be a real longshot this year I think the way he has been improving he could make origin in the next year or two. |
