Clapham , Simon Elliott , Michael
McGlinchey , David Mulligan

Forwards:

Big match for both sides but this will benefit New Zealand much more than it will us. This is good preparation against decent opposition for the kiwis but really we should have looked for higher quality opposition ( with all due respect to New Zealand).
Anyway on to the game now...I must say I have my tickets and I am pumped to see the boys in action before they head to South Africa. I feel this game will be close for the first half but will run away with a 3-0 win in the second half. If we struggle then seriously we have no hope in the World Cup if were honest. We will have our full strength lineup, possibly baring Kewell depending on his injury. I would expect to see:

-----------------------you know who------------------------------
Emerton-----------Neill----------Moore-------------------Chipperfield
----------------------Culina----Grella------------------------------
-------Bresciano--------Cahill-------------Kewell/Oar---------------
-----------------------Kennedy------------------------------------

Honestly this is a poor choice of warm up game, with all due respect to the Kiwis here.

Australia 3-1 I think. Any ideas of how the tickets are going? Coz I really dont think they are going to go close to selling out the G. I could be wrong though.

It is NZ after all guys. Had it been say Russia or Croatia, it would have drawn a massive crowd.

Reckon we can really put up a fight in this.
The fact it's Aussie will get the boys pumped up.
Not sure about winning but we won't roll over.

Paston
Reid - Nelsen - Smith
Bertos - Brown - McGlinchey - Lochead
Fallon - Smeltz - Killen

Moss - Sigmund - Vicelich - Christie/Clapham - Elliott - Barron - Wood

Lol...

Monday, such a weird day for an international match. But oh well. Pretty excited for this one, I'm expecting a 3-0 win, I don't think they'll put up too much of a fight.

I don't expect Kewell to play, Pim surely won't risk him.

Poor form Melbourne. Gonna be a shite crowd.

Would have been very keen to go but Uni exams/costs put an end to any hopes.

SBS said that 50,000 tickets had been sold. It will be interesting to see how big the crowd is, TBH i couldn't give a damn about this game.

Although the New Zealand player whose name i can't remember (mainly because he is a nothing footballer) to come out and say there is a chance players will get injured, is dumb. Its a friendly before the World Cup ffs, if either team goes hard in this one i will be very disappointed.

I think it was Fallon who said that...If any of our players gets injured due to pointless hard challenges I will be one pissed of fan.

Because all your guys are such big names in the world of football Rolling Eyes

So you guys think that just because it's a friendly before the World Cup that the teams shouldn't play hard? Riiiiight.

Tim Cahill, Harry Kewell, Mark Schwarzer, Lucas Neill, Mark Bresciano ring a bell?

No his quotes were ridiculous...something along the lines of "dont be surprised if plaers get injured"
