My screen is fine.

How are the apps faulty?

My reception has been fine the whole time with 3.

Never overheated, my speakers are fine and my music syncs fine.

Obviously it's only some, but my phone is fine and I know plenty others who's are.

well luckily you and your friends speak for the entire iphone community...

the iphone4 has had more send backs then any other phone in history and its at the point where the likes of telstra and optus are sick of selling faulty crap. most overated piece of garbage in a long time

I've had my iPhone for a month now and have not had a single problem at all.. so far. I guess all these so called glitches are just minor and hyped by the media.

Seriously I know about 20 or so people with them and not a single problem.

I'm sure the 'fault' rate is still very high, but it's definitely overhyped.

Would mobile phone providers be considering dropping the iPhone off its shelves if the problems were merely overhyped? I hardly think so. The only thing that is overhyped is that people genuinely believe that this product is the best thing since slice bread. It may be good for some, but its less then useless for many.

They've already tried. Several Telstra stores have already refused to stock.it.

Few recent occurrences I thought people may want to know... Apple have stopped production (at the moment) on iphone4 in aus due to mass faults in the product line. This was tipped to the edge by customers with Vodafone and 3 now sueing the company due to zero reception during qld floods. As a result both Vodafone and 3 are forecast to be bankrupt quicker then expected. Latest prediction was October as shares are starting to plummet.

Hope any Vodafone or 3 customers have been made aware of this and are looking at other alternatives. As for the iPhone4, well it was to be expected.

That would be cos 3 roam off Telstra where you live. That should remain till they fold unless they pull away from their merger with voda.

This. I always have fine reception other than three places.

Park Ridge Rd, Mt Tamborine, Going down the Greenbank Springfield Arterial as that is through bushland pretty much.

That's what I was thinking. A major city flooded, and all people can think of is their bloody phone reception?!

I should sue them for wasting oxygen.

F*** oath. When your family is in danger and your only means of contact is by phone, you'd expect the service you pay good money for to work.

In all seriousness, I live in a bushfire prone area, high risk, evacuated a couple of times (although fortunately never been affected seriously. Grass fire is the worst we've had).

In a fire situation, you don't expect your mobile phone to work, no matter how much you've paid for it. It's back to human instincts, community involvement. Working as a team with the people you happen to be with. That's how you're gonna survive a disaster zone. Not by ringing Grandma and getting her to rescue you. If your phone does work, that's a bonus. But if you're in a fire zone, or a flood plain, or an area prone to cyclones for example, you gotta plan for the worst. It's no good ringing people during these events, cause everyone's got their own shit to worry about.

People lean on technology way, way, way too much.

Let me put it simple. If I'm paying for a service that I need in times of emergency and this service doesn't work when an emergency happens, you better fix it soo fuckin quick. Cos believe me when I say that if something were to happen to my family and I couldn't contact them, I promise that I would bring the whole fuckin company down around me. I couldn't give two shit about the floods apparently ruining reception, so fucking what. Telstra had full reception the whole time so what's the other providers excuses? Corporate fuckin ass clowns care more about how heavy their pockets are them the service they provide. Vodafone, 3, Optus have no excuses.

I apologize for being so heated on the topic but I have my reasons which I'm sure you understand.
