Well just a thread to talk all things New Zealand Cricket.

We had a great victory against India last night/this morning to kick start the 2010/2011 season.

Won by 200 runs in the end we where in huge danger at 3 for 28 but a great partner ship between Ross Taylor (89) and Scotty Styris (95) put us back on track and helping us make a good score.

We are now number 2 in the ODI Rankings

Dissapointed NZ couldn't get up last night after batting first. Mainly because winning at Dambulla when you bat first, is as cirtain as a hundred at the Adelaide Oval

Yeah Svoerman we needed to back up the good performance against India. This lost drops us straight back down to 5th on the rankings, that shows how close the rankings are.

Kane Williamson got his second duck in 2 games, thinking that we might have rushed him in a bit early. Saying that i hope we keep faith and don't drop him.

wouldn't say that's the case as he was bound to be given a chance sooner or later, and seeing as he is a likely option to be apart of NZ's world cup side, now was the perfect opportunity to give him some experience playing in the subcontinent.

The sub continent isn't a place I would be blooding a young player though... I'd rather bring him in when you're playing in the conditions he's used to (at home)

ATM he's probably out of his depth and they should've waited untill their upcoming home summer to bring him in.
