Cant see any English eams having too many troubles. Would be funny to watch City crumble if they were to go down.
Wheres Timisoara when its at home?

Is the Liverpool game gonna be on TV? If not, anyway I can view the game? Or listen to it or something?

I think Liverpool will get through, but Trabzonspor are a quality Turkish side. In the top 3-4 teams.

Of the Italian teams (Palermo, Napoli and Juventus), all should win.

Apparently this is the team tonight.

Reina
Kelly - Carragher - Kyrgiakos - Aurelio
Maxi - Poulsen - Lucas - Jovanovic
Cole
Babel

Other than no Aquilani, pretty happy with that side. Poulsen making his debut.
Should be good enough to win, but Trabzonspor are no pushovers. Hopefully Aquilani gets a chance in the league now that Cole is suspended.

Liverpool won 1-0, could find it tough in Turkey though.
Villa drew 1-1, but have a vital away goal.
Man City are 1-0 up, Balotelli scored, and has got himself a yellow card, had a couple of lectures from the ref and squared up with the other teams captain all in 15 minutes Laughing

1-0 win, Babel on the stroke of half-time with a lovely finish after Cole's nice through ball. Joseph had a penalty saved in the second half. Should have won by more but 1-0 should be manageable in Turkey, although it's gonna be a very intimidating atmosphere I imagine.

Poulsen was rubbish on debut. Makes it all the more annoying that Aquilani is going to be the one leaving to help make way for this dud. I know it's only early days but I have serious doubts that he's gonna be any good for us. I have a bad feeling that he's gonna start on Monday night.

I suppose the good thing bout that result is that no away goals were conceded which is pleasing to see meaning if we just score a goal over there we should be pretty safe I reckon.

Brett Holman scored for AZ Alkmaar as they defeated FC Aktobe 2-0.

Bayer Leverkusen defeated Tavriya Symferopol 3-0, with Michael Ballack amongst the scorers.

A debut goal for Mario Balotelli give Man City a 1-0 away win over FC Timisoara.

Liverpool defeated Trabzonspor 1-0, thanks to a goal from Ryan Babel.

An injury time goal from Amauri give Juventus a 2-1 away win over Sturm Graz.

Had a good win this morning over Trabzonspor to progress to the group stage. We were pathetic in the first half and went 1-0 down early but put in a much better 2nd half effort and were rewarded with two late goals. Glen Johnson was brilliant.

The draw is tonight.

Good win by Liverpool 4-1 was the end result good to see Joe Cole get on the score sheet along with Lucas and N'gog with a double. So a nice start to our campaign.

The scoreline masks what was a pretty average performance in my opinion. After going ahead so early we really struggled to create anything until we got a lucky break with the penalty. After that we played some nice football for the first time this season, very fluent.

I thought young Spearing was fantastic in the middle of the park, and Meireles played well in his first start. The CB paring of Kyrgiakos and Agger was great, and Maxi deserves a mention for his efforts. Joe Cole was my MOTM though, just a joy to watch when he's playing with freedom... so glad we have him back for the Mancs this weekend.

Pacheco only getting 5 minutes was disappointing.

Oh... and what a cracker of a goal from my boy Lucas, well done son.

Is it in Naples? Because if so, considering your form I wouldn't be confident at all.

Edison Cavani has been on fire this season for Napoli, showing the $16M euros they paid for him was $$$ well spent.

Liverpool got a 0-0 draw with Napoli in Naples. That's a very good result as going to Naples is extremely tough and Napoli rarely drop points at home.
