Should be easy for the Premier League lads. I hope Notts County can get through, but Watford away will be tough.

Massive game for my Canaries up against EPL side Blackburn Rovers. We've started well in the Championship, so hopefully we can continue the winning form in the Carling Cup. I'd like us to win a couple of games in this competition. A lot rests on the shoulders of Grant Holt.

No "big 4" teams in the Carling Cup yet so I suppose that's why there is no interest in the competition so far.

Unfortunate.

Newcastle managed to get away with a 3-2 win against Accrington Stanley the other day. There was 11 changes from the side who beat Aston Villa last week, so would have been good for a few of the younger guys to get a run. I watched the the first 10 minutes but fell asleep shortly after and am yet to see any highlights of the game.

Good work, was about to post it myself. Glad to see we've got an EPL opponent instead of a League 1/2 opponent, who we always seem to get in the early stages of these domestic competitions. Should still win without too much trouble, though.

As for Tottenham v Arsenal, Laughing Fancy that.

Round 3 is this week, Spuds v Arsenal on TV Wednesday morning, 4.45am or something. Duno who/if anyones on Thursday.

Looking forward to it, no idea of the team but im pretty confident. Think Spurs will play a weaker team than they normally would to keep fresh for their UCL campaign/Top 4 push.
Arsenal 3-1 Smile

Hoping to see Benik Afobe get a run on in that game, has torn it up the last season in the Academy League with 20 goals in 25 apperances. Will be good to see him among other young guys get a shot at impressing.

Henri lansbury scored.

Jacky W has been running the show in the middle despite being taken out 4 or 5 times.

Spurs 1-4 Arsenal aet.
Get the F*** in!

We were awesome, Wilshere was immense and was probs my motm.
Their goal was pretty pathetic, fabianski really should have done better.

I dont care if its 'only the carling cup' we have to win something this season and if its this trophy then ill be happy. Watching us demolish that pack of mongrels on their own turf and seeing a half empty shite hart lane was brilliant.
Revenge is sweet.

Everton looooooooooooooool

Brilliant result for us, Jack was immense and looks like he will have a massive season. Nasri showed why he should of taken the penalty vs. Sunderland Laughing
I think Wenger knows we need to win something and the sooner we get the monkey of our back, even if it's just the Carling Cup, then the guys will feel less pressure and will hopefully play even better in the EPL and the CL.

Oh, and Flapianski..... Neutral
It's time to go son.

Absolutely right AFC. Also, I think the importance of the Carling Cup has grown over the years. It's not just another trophy anymore, it's something teams want to win. If anything, it's almost as important as winning the FA Cup.

I watched glimpses of the game (I couldn't sleep haha) and boy did the Gunners look good. But yeah, I wouldn't be getting too excited just yet.

I'd be massively surprised if Moyes is sacked. I know Everton started slowly a couple of years ago and finished very strong, it's usually how they are. I expect them to bounce back pretty soon.

Great game played by our second string team this morning...was a bit worried that Tottenham were gonna turn things around after they scored, but credit to the boys and was great seeing score so early in extra time. Nasri had a great game I thought.

Saw most of the extra time in the Arsenal/Spurs match, Arsenal dominated after taking the lead but Spurs didn't really look like they were too interested in making a comeback. The fourth goal from Arshavin was a quality finish.
