F*** me kids these days must be really stupid. whether its a trial or not, people really shouldnt be gettin under 80%. obviously more if ya bother studying

lol i do see why Brenton didn't try, i mean, SC, who tries for that.

why wouldnt you?
why would you?

In the big scheme of things it means nothing.

how about having enough dignity to know you arent a retard. you go to school for 13 years, the least you can do is get an education.

That's what, most probably, the HSC is there for. Unless you are a drop out and leaving in Year 10, then by all means the SC may have some importance.

just seems tragic that people care so little about school tests. i hated school as much as most kids but i wouldnt be caught dead embarrassing myself with shit scores on simple maths tests, or any test for that matter

School fkin blows.. If i went back to school now i would bludge even more due to the fact i know i would be getting a trade. If you're after a job that requires an op and shit then i would be studying but you get an op anyway when you finish a trade. The only thing i miss about school is the fact you are 100% certain to get a good perve.

I for one, get really pissed off if I don't pass a test or if I get a bad mark on an assignment.

For me, I feel that I want to get a B or higher in everything I do, and I would love to get A's. On my latest report card I got mostly A's and B's which I was really happy with.

80% is a bit of an overstatement, it's really not that easy as you may think to get 80%

the amount of deadbeats in the system is high

plus for my mod year trials I averaged like 50% but pulled of an A on my exam.

well it actually is quite easy. i mean just rocking up to class would get you that score in a test. further study would then get you higher. honestly any bum could pull 80% on most tests if they pay attention

what about if you learn 3 topics over 5 weeks or so (which happens to me), then perform the test , which requires you to know the exact defintions + examples. Even when you pay extreme attention, you only learn definitions etc 1 or twice max in class and then you are ested on all 3 topics and you reckon you can get 80% on a test straight up. Its pretty much impossible unless you have a photographic memory or something special to perform that well on a test without rehearsing or studying the work.

So, Ill tell you now, your kidding yourself.

You would get an F for attendance that's for sure.

First off, you don't even get an overall mark for attendance, and if they did do that, I wouldn't even get that bad a mark.

English was my favourite subject.

But all we did was text responses without being taught to enhance our spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc. Friggin' pathetic and really pissed me off.

Strutted into TAFE feeling like da shit. Got pwned quite easily and really disappointed me ...

Yeah, other than things like AFL and Music or any Sport classes, my favourite subject is English. This term will be a challenge doing Shakespeare, but I am up for it Smile

Yeah okay then.

As for what they do, it just says at the bottom of the report card "Number of absent days" and "Number of unexplained absences" but no mark.

i studied maths, english, biology, chemistry, sport science, law studies and scored over 80% in everyone. My study insisted purely of providing "private tutoring" to whatever girl i was trying to hit on at the time. All i did was rock up at class and pay attention, simple really.

Teaching others is actually the most effective way to learn

(I learned this fact by teaching it to a girl in my Psychology course. So I can vouch for it...)

English ftw.. I loved it. I'd be utterly embarrassed not hitting a top score in my native language.

Theres a fair few drop kicks in school. Just looking at the assessment reports from practice exams on there are alot of sentences saying "Many students failed to answer this question and left it blank" and thats on past exams, you'd think if you made the effort to go all the wya to year 12 and complete your exams you'd try to answer the questions

I hte kids who do shit on sacs and claim they are proud and not a nerd or whatever. It's not cool getting a shit score for vce

then your ignorance is astounding.

The way it appears, it sounds like your a naturally pretty smart guy.

But if this is true, then you would expect you not to make such foolish comments and be so ignorant as to think everyone else is as smart as you are.

There are loads of kids who would work 10 times harder than you did but just arent intelectually that smart, and thus they dont achieve the desired results (whether that be 80% + or whatever)

Point is, your wrong about what your saying and im suprised at your ignorance to be honest
