PreviewTwo teams with a strong state rivalry come into this game with their seasons in completely different shape. After strong wins - all against top eight sides - in the past three weeks, Sydney are on a roll with youngsters firing and old heads doing the job. Last week's emotional farewell to Brett Kirk and Paul Roos spurred the Swans on to victory, but this time around they have different motivation with a home final on the line. Despite the possibility of having it already wrapped up, depending on the result between Hawthorn and Collingwood, Sydney will be looking to head into the finals with four wins on the trot. On the other hand, Brisbane are playing for pride. Despite winning their first four games in a row, the Lions went on to win only one of their next 14 games and now face Sydney having salvaged some little remaining pride by winning two of their last three games. Their squad is ravaged with injuries and the loss of Jonathan Brown for this one is a big blow. Despite this, Jed Adcock has the opportunity to captain his side in his 100th AFL game.
The last time these two teams met, Daniel Bradshaw booted 6 goals against his former club in a 20 point win for the Swans. This time around, he's injured and won't be playing - however his teammates will be looking for an away win to ensure they have a home final and head into September in flying form. But can the Lions end their winning streak, and show their fans of what hopefully is to come in 2011?
My Prediction: Swans by 27. I can't see us losing this one, we're on a hot streak at the moment and I expect that to continue. Add that to Brisbane's loss of Jonathan Brown and I think, by tomorrow, we'll be in 5th place with a home final secured (or possibly 4th, if we can destroy the Lions and Essendon destroy Western Bulldogs

). Should be a good game indeed.
SYDNEY!
