Western Australia vs Victoria Bushrangers
vs

Date: 8th October 2010

Venue: WACA, Perth

Preview: Western Australia now has a new coach in former South African coach Mickey Arthur. The Bushrangers back from an average display at the T20 Champions League, they would like to put that behind and be back to their dominant best as they have been for the past 2-3 years in the Domestic season.

Team news: With the Warriors losing strike bowler Brad Knowles for the season with a knee injury, it is all up to Noffke, Hogan and new recruit Martin Paskal to lead to pace attack with Aaron Heal to do the spinning. Victoria will be strong with the bat with the likes of Hodge, Hussey and Finch all in good form.

My predicted line-ups:

Western Australia:
Wes Robinson
Liam Davis
Michael Swart/Luke Pomersbach
Adam Voges (capt.)
Mitchell Marsh
Luke Ronchi (wk)
Matthew Johnston
Ashley Noffke
Aaron Heal
Martin Paskal
Michael Hogan

Victoria:
Aaron Finch
Rob Quiney
Brad Hodge
David Hussey
Cameron White (capt.)
Andrew McDonald
Matthew Wade (wk)
John Hastings
Clint McKay
Peter Siddle
Bryce McGain

Prediction: Western Australia to win in a close one.

Nice layout

Pumped for the game. I'm feeling confident of winning here, looks like a really strong squad we've got.

Finchy to get a 100 Very Happy

Hate to be a dick... but can we put the team names in the title of the thread. I just don't like having to click on each thread to find out whos playing. #imjustlazy

On paper Victoria should be far too good for W.A. No North and Shaun Marsh will really hurt the Warriors while Victoria have one of the best possible top 8 going around in FC cricket in Australia.

McGain, Siddle and McKay should be far too good with the ball to prevent WA doing much with the bat.

Victoria by 80 runs or 5 Wickets.

Dunno if Shaun Marsh is playing or not. So if he is playing, he will replace Davis.

Victoria 1/131 after the first 20 overs

Hodgey and Finch both on 50 odd and looking very good.

Hogan rolled his ankle early on after appealing for an LBW but looks to be OK.

That's a really nice score. Keeping WA under 100 us all we need to do now and we should get up. Hopefully at least 1 of Hodgey or Finchy can get a 100 and lead us to a score of 100+.

Up the Vics!

Great win Very Happy

We finished with 4/319 from our 45 overs Very Happy Just over 7 an over. Hodgey! 134 not out from 125 balls, what a player! Finchy continues his good form with 81 from 75 balls. He's going to play for Australia one day Smile

We bowled WA out for 206 to gain all 5 points. Sticks (Shane Harwood) was the main man with 6/46! He's still got it. Hopefully he can stay injury free this season, well hopefully all our bowlers can, cause with all of them going, we're very hard to beat. Hastings was handy with 3/49. Mitchell Marsh was WA's best with 44 from 26.

Great win boys Very Happy
