Go the Blues

Hussey got 0 & 3. Hussey simply needs a decent score next Shield game, if not he probably won't be there at the Gabba

Mark Cameron finished the match with 11/52. Amazing, haven't seen match bowling figures that good in 10 years.

On Wednesday 2 matches kick off.

Tasmania vs Queensland kicks off at Bellerive, the big news from this match is that Ricky Ponting will be in for the Tigers.
Tasmania:
George Bailey (c), Tim Paine (v-c), Travis Birt, Luke Butterworth, Mark Cosgrove, Ed Cowan, Xavier Doherty, James Faulkner, Ben Hilfenhaus, Adam Maher, Ricky Ponting, Jonathan Wells
Queensland:
James Hopes (c), Cameron Boyce, Ryan Broad, Lee Carseldine, Ben Cutting, Ben Dunk, Luke Feldman, Ryan Harris, Chris Hartley, Chris Lynn, Wade Townsend, Scott Walter, (12th man to be named)

Tassie should continue from where they left off in the One-dayer imo. They'll be too good for QLD, hopefully Ponting can get some runs.
_______________________________________________________________________

New South Wales vs Victoria is the other match kicking off on Wednesday.

We haven't been in the best of form and I think NSW are gaining Clark and Bollinger so it will be a tough match for us. Amazingly this mean that Mark Cameron who picked up 11 wickets last Shield Match will most likely be omitted.

Carn the Vics!

Solid start from our mob. Take a couple of early wickets tomorrow morning and we're definitely in a strong position. Oh and how much we've missed Ryan Harris, stoked to see him back.

Victoria v NSW looks to be evenly poised... although it seems the weather could play a major factor in the outcome of that game. Huge day for Hauritz tomorrow, crucial he bounces back.

Earlier on we made 378. Hussey top scoring with 122 while McDonald got out on 100. 3 wickets to Cameron who continues his good form. 2 wickets to Starc, Watson + S. Smith. Hauritz the only bowler not to get a wicket...

NSW are currently 3/90. Clarke (24), Jaques (4) currently at the crease. We're probably ahead.

Gee that NSW batting lineup is impressive.
Watson
Hughes
Khawaja
Clarke
Jaques
Haddin
S. Smith
affraid

QLD currently 5/149 in their reply to Tasmania's 196. QLD were 5/88 so it's a good partnership here between Hartley and Hopes.

NSW vs VIC

Stumps - Day 2

NSW 5/171
Clarke 71*
Jaques 28
Watson 20
McDonald 1/11 (9)

NSW trail by 207 runs

Well we're on top here. Good to see Michael Clarke getting runs coming up to the Ashes. Haddin only managed 2 though.

Big day tomorrow. Don't want NSW to get over 300.

TAS vs QLD

Stumps - Day 2

QLD 9/254

Hopes 73
Hartley 63
Lynn 25
Maher 3/53
Hilfenhaus 3/82

QLD lead by 58 runs

Queensland lost 2 wickets in the last 7 balls of the day, big wickets in Hartley and Cutting as well.

Pretty evenly poised but QLD obviously have the edge.

Tas lead by 91 in their 2nd inn.. Qld finished on 254
Hilfy 3/82 (22)

Ponting only made 5 in his 2nd dig and Harris has 2/40 to go with his 1st innings 5

Vics well in control they lead by 128 with 9 wickets remaining.
Pup made 113 good to see him get some time in the middle.

Hauritz has the wicket for NSW

VIC 4/79

McDonald 11
Quiney 36

Victoria lead by 194 runs

We're in a very strong position here, though NSW are still in the game if they break this partnership quickly. No other Victorian has passed 10 for Victoria besides the current batsmen at the crease. For NSW, Hauritz is bowling much better with 2/21 from 10.
__________________________________________________________________________
TAS 6/203

Paine 40
Butterworth 0

Tasmania lead by 145 runs

QLD just got the crucial wicket of Cosgrove for 35 and are now huge favourites to get home.

Ryan Harris continues from where he left off in the first innings with 3/45.

Woohoo, good to finally get a win - it's been a tough month or so for our boys. Welcome back Harro, MOTM performance. Grin Watched a little bit of the game today on the CA stream - really solid batting from our mob in tricky conditions. Hopes/Hartley also played a key role in the win, the partnership between those two in the first dig was a real game changer.

Bulls!
