In preparation for the Asian cup next year, this is a vital match for us. We need to get some serious form going as Asian teams aren't all easy to beat.
Alex BROSQUE Tim CAHILL David CARNEY Jason CULINA Eugene GALEKOVIC (gk) Richard GARCIA Mile JEDINAK Josh KENNEDY Harry KEWELL Scott McDONALD Jon McKAIN Matthew McKAY Lucas NEILL Jade NORTH Mark SCHWARZER (gk) Michael THWAITE Carl VALERI Dario VIDOSIC Luke WILKSHIRE
I'm liking the confidence of picking A-league players, however would have preferred them to be a little younger. Also Neill is almost certainly out while Cahill looks as though he might play on the bench.
Last time we played this lot was after the world cup of 06 where it ended in a 1-1 draw. |

| Like to see Matty get a run. Not bothered by the result but a good performance is a must. I'll tip a 1-1 draw. Scotty Mac to FINALLY score! |

| I reckon we can sneak a win here 1-0 seems plausible. |

| Really boring game, very scrappy, shit surface and not the best atmosphere. _________________ RIP Marco Simoncelli 1987 - 2011

| Good win, and not a bad performance on what was a shit surface. Deserved the win really despite being outplayed for the start of the first half. But we took our chances so thats all that matters |

| Atmosphere was okay, same can't be said about the pitch though, as mentioned it was very poor. Meaningless game but we got the win which is good, and I like the way Osieck approached the game and the tactics he used. Good to see some of the guys who don't usually pull on a green and gold jersey getting a go on the field, and also great to see Carney score |
