Tasmania have just batted their 20 overs and have finished on 3/76. The last George Bailey on the 3rd ball of the last over and the bowler Brendan Drew was sent in. Copeland, O'Keefe and Clark have a wicket a piece at the moment. I see NSw getting up today. Their team looks extremely strong. With the likes of Haddin, Hughes, Jaques, Khawaja, Lee and Clark you'd think they will get up. |

| NSW have ended up on 1/91 off their first 20 overs. So they lead by 15 runs and get the bonus point. NSW lost Hughes early to be 1/4 but Haddin (41) and Jaques (45) have built are very strong partnership. Tassie need a very strong 25 overs. They'd need more than 150 from it you'd think if they were to get up here. |

| Tasmania have recorded an incredible score of 7/286 off their 45 overs considering they were 3/76 after 20. That's 4/210 off the last 25! It was all led by a record-breaking partnership stand between Ed Cowan + Travis Birt. The pair combined to make 172 at over 8 runs an over. Ed Cowan made a new high score with an incredible 131* off 120 balls. It was a superb innings, his timing was amazing. Travis Birt made 87 off just 62 balls, including 5 sixes. So now NSW now require 196 runs off 150 balls to win. It's definitely possible considering their strong batting line-up and they do have some quality batters still to come. |

| NSW are all out for 214 off 42 overs. Sparky's man Xavier Doherty probably the pick off the bowlers taking 3/35 off 10 including the key wicket of Jaques for 95. Well NSW were huge favourites after each team had batted their first innings but huge credit goes to Tasmania for turning the game around thanks to Cowan and Birt. That really was a great game of cricket, disappointing not to see much chat. Tasmania now cement their spot on top of the table. With 3 wins and 2 bonus points they now have 14 points. | Styletix wrote: | | whats this bullshit about splitting up innings? |
Team A bats 20 overs then Team B bats 20. Then Team A bats another 25 and then Team B also bat another 25. It's a whole new concept this season Style. I love it to be honest, really makes the game heaps more exciting. |

| Enjoyable game that. Tasmania looking the goods at this stage of the season and they'll only get stronger with Paine and Hilfenhaus to return in the future. Cowan is a much improved player, that was a top century from him, although Birt was the man who changed the match.
Doherty a chance to be selected in the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka?? Surely he's just about done enough... _________________ |
