| Just thought we should have a bit of a discussion on who you think should be in Australia's bowling formation. Ive never been impressed with Siddle and Johnson and tonight showed why but do you think that we have the quality to replace them? Should stuart clark be given another shot even considering his age? On the spinners Doherty had a brilliant match tonight but will he be able to repeat such a performance and there is much doubt over his test match bowling? is hauritz still the test bowler for australia? So what do you believe should be our bowling attack for the following ODI's and the Ashes series. Discuss |

| To be fair, Siddle was good early but probably crumbled under the pressure. |

| For the Ashes. (Assuming all are fit)
Bollinger Hilf Johnson Hauritz
Seamers pick themselves.
Hauritz is still the test bowler for Australia. He's been solid over the past 12 months and hasn't done anything to lose the job, while no-one has done anything to take the job off him. If Doherty gets the job based on one series and a lack of success in shield cricket of the past couple of years I'd be stunned. |

ive always been a bit hard on him because i dont like the way he plays but i have never really witnessed a game where he has really dominated consistently.
i think the biggest problem australia is having with its pace bowlers is just consistency. we dont have anyone like mcgrath any more that can put the ball consistently at a great line and length.
im just curious to see what others think about the bowling attack really |

| Siddle's not a gamebreaker, true ...
But who is, in the current team? |

| My Ashes bowling attack at the Gabba... Ben Hilfenhaus - The leader of the attack Doug Bollinger - Gives it his all and is a wicket taker Mitchell Johnson - Not 100% sure on him. He is always up and down but when he's up, he's bloody good. Probably being picked on experience and wicket tally rather than form. 4th spot depends on the pitch. If it's quick then should go for another pace bowler. For mine this would be either Clark or Siddle. Siddle has the determination and aggression you need in the Ashes wheras Clark has the consistancy and you know what you're going to get from him. Tough choice but I would probably go Clark. If the pitch will favour the spinners later on in the game then I think Hauritz deserves another chance |

| Anyone reckon Ryan Harris is a chance for the first test at the Gabba? |

| Here's my bowling attack: 8. Johnson (Although he can leak runs and have off days we all know what he is capable of) 9. Hauritz (Was great last season and has done nothing to lose his spot) 10. Hilfenhaus (When in the side and fit he has been a wickettaker, very consistent) 11. Bollinger (Just been awesome, can pick up wickets when needed) Siddle (Definitely next in line, looking much fitter than he was a month ago and will be back to his best soon) |

| imo i think Hilfenhaus is australias top bowler atm.
he is the most accurate of our bowlers and has the most control. for mine siddle shouldnt be in the test side due to his hot head and im not too impressed with johnson but he will be there no matter what due to his strike ability. if johnson is in form he is good but his accuracy is just not good enough atm imo |
