Alright, I'm getting really pissed off now. All of a sudden, i have this fucking virus on my computer that i can't get rid of. It's called "security tool". It's not letting me to go into anything on my computer, other than the internet. Ant files i have, i can't open them, and pop-ups keep appearing. Has anyone heard of this virus? It's shitting me off and i want it gone. If you've heard of it before, please help me get rid of this C*** of a virus.

Yeah, the link that Damo posted is what I used when I had that pain in the fucking arse thing.

I think I had to run it in Safe Mode though, because Security Tool blocks any program that tries to remove it. Rolling Eyes

I never said it was funny? I was "eye-rolling" at the virus and it's frustratingness (yes, that's not a word!)

Anyway, if you're using Windows XP, to get into Safe Mode, restart your computer, and as the computer is booting up, press "F8".

If you're using something else, just Google it if you can Smile (sometimes Security Tool blocks Google searches... well it did for me anyway Mad)

That comment wasn't completely directed at you, just a random comment.

I tried the f8 thing, but this is what appeared...

3 options:

HDD: PM-Maxtor 6e020I0
HDD: 3M-WDC wd3200aaks-00b3a0
CDROM: 3S-asus drw-20b1lt

What the F*** is that suppose to mean...

Obviously the last one includes a cd-rom

You could try turning your computer on then switching it off so the prompt pops up during startup.

^^I just turned it off, then on, and it's not appearing. There's a picture of it in the link Damo posted, but that's not coming up on mine. Nothing with safe mode at all.

What program did you use to get rid of it Max?

I'm almost certain my computer at home got it today. From what you've written the one I've got seems the same.

Help would be great haha.

Something about going into 'Safe Mode', then what?
