PostSubject: Cheap TVs   Fri Dec 03, 2010 9:35 am

Just recently the TV in my bedroom has started to make these scary popping noises. I've had it for five or six years, so I was thinking of getting a new TV for my birthday in just over a month.

I've had a look around online for some TVs and have sussed out some probable choices. Most were cheaper brands (Soniq, Changong, etc) which my dad thinks is a no go. Only thing is, I could be paying up to $300 more for a better brand TV of the same size.

So I was just wondering, anyone had any bad experiences with the cheaper TVs? I've never really paid any attention to them before so I don't even know how the quality compares between the brands.

No bad experience when I've bought them in the past. Had soniq and palsonic before. Hisense is prob the best in the world these days.

The cheapers ones are often much better then their "big brothers".

I currently have a senzu 32inch lcd in my room, cost me 300 + 50 for 2 years warranty from Joyce Mayne, its going great guns. Make sure you get insurance though.

Their are also the ones on ebay that are good, as the people go straight to the maker of it, and put their own badges on it. Sony quality, half the price.

Yeah I reckon I'm going to settle for a cheaper brand. There's a 42" for $600 and less than that if you pay cash, so I'm just thinking of getting something along the lines of that.
