| Anyone getting it? It'd due for release on April 21. The game will feature online play, with Big Ant Studios stating that they wish to use the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Games for Windows – Live to their full advantage. Two players will be able play either cooperatively or competitively online, with up to four players playing cooperatively or competitively. Some specific improvements include, faster ball movement and a more free flowing game, improved control and camera systems, and more scope for tactical adjustments. The possible addition of obscurities such as "behind the play" incidents will potentially add to the longevity of the gameplay experience. The game will also feature trophies for the PlayStation 3, and achievements for the Xbox 360. Link: http://ps3.mmgn.com/Games/AFL-Live-2011 Check out that site. It shows some good screenshots as well. I've already got the game on preorder. Looking forward to it Although AFL Games haven't been very well made in the past so I'm not getting my hopes up. |

| I was going to get it but the game play looks rubbish.. Players running through eachother and stuff like that. When they kick it looks like a dropkick. Also no franchise mode is gay. _________________ RIP Marco Simoncelli 1987 - 2011

| There's been a few demos around the country and people have said it seems alright, AFL games will never be better than half decent though. I've heard that there's no season mode but then others have said there is, although you can't trade and you have to edit teams if you want to a certain player.
A mate's got it on preorder so I'll have a suss of it first to see if it's worth buying. |

| It'll be a shocking game no doubt, people who actually like AFL will have fun playing it though i'm sure. The games on the old xbox were rubbish but i still played them alot. _________________ RIP Marco Simoncelli 1987 - 2011

| Yeah I think that's what it'll be like. AFL fans will still play because of the novelty of having an updated AFL game, but probably not much fun for anyone else. A couple of mates got it yesterday, one reckons it's terrible and the other says it's good. I've ordered it through Dick Smith for $80, they don't have any stock at the moment so I won't get it until next week because of Easter. |

| Not a bad game at all. It takes a while to get used to all the controls but once you get that then it's good fun. The game requires you to use handball and you can't just bomb the ball down the line and expect to be getting marks and kicking goals like you could in the 07 game. There are heaps of stoppages in the game, once you get the ball you really need to dispose of it quickly. It's the best feeling when you manage to link a few handballs and get the ball to a runner in space. I think the goalkicking and rucking system is good. Some of the player ratings are ridiculous, once example being Clinton Jones rated 91. I had a few games on the easy level, Amateur yesterday and struggled a bit. But since getting used to the controls I've moved up to the 3rd level, Professional and managed to beat Port by about 70 points. There are 2 levels above professional. The next one is Legendary but I can't remember the other one. Can't believe there is no career mode though! Although season mode should be fun. And if my online doesn't lag then I'll be online heaps as well. |

| What are the marking contests like? The last game I had was '05 I think, and whenever they bombed it long to their full forward my full back would always be 5m behind meaning the FF would always get the easy mark. |

| And Matthew Bate at 87. You can edit players but seems there's a fair few inaccurate ratings so don't know if I can be bothered editing. On BigFooty there's a thread dedicated to player ratings, I'll copy one of the posts over there.
