Because I'm a north supporter (changed about 6 months ago) - love their list too....why should you get a ransom on a team.

Also, if you were...all I'd see is every player who wasn't trash untradeable - and you making no trades, just sitting on constant mediocrity.

Coming in with another idea.

We all get randomly allocated teams. That'd leave 7-9 teams leftover. We then draft say 10 rounds worth of players from these teams...leaving free agency up too. However lists would be capped at 42 still.

What about you get a team and from that team you can select up to 12 players to keep, the rest go into a draft and then we run a drsft

I don't agree with Stoke's fucking logic at all. No wonder he rigged the last 'random' allocation.

How don't you agree with it? You getting north means that it's one less team everyone could trade with - you wouldn't even accept scott pendlebury for goldstein etc. etc.

And nah, IIRC I didn't do the allocation - and if I did - it was pre I supported North, it's only luck mate. Just because someone got north doesn't mean it was rigged you C***. Don't accuse me of that.

I don't mind Neils idea but what if someone gets Collingwood and someone gets GC Suns. 12 players would have a massive difference in averages. I still think we draft instead of wasting time deciding what to do.

If somene gets GC - if we did neils - they'd keep 12 players then probably get pick 1 in the draft too.

Cynic - given you're all high and mighty if we did a draft - or randomised teams, I'm fine with you doing it. I'd laugh if you got North though.

For randomly allocated teams, I could put it as current positions at the moment. For example

1/17th
2/16th and so forth. Or I could go from last season and we draft Gold Coast.

I would do it like this

AFL Season 2011 fantasy ladder - round 17Check out the performances of your club, based on Herald Sun TAC SuperCoach fantasy scoring, as well as your club's player selection popularity. Click on any of the clubs for complete player stats.
Team # of players selected Value Last Rd TOTAL POINTS
1. Carlton 904,627 $12,588,100 1,603 28,460
2. Geelong 749,948 $11,734,100 1,695 27,394
3. Hawthorn 984,945 $12,857,600 0 26,895
4. Collingwood 1,163,688 $11,982,900 1,698 26,665
5. Sydney 524,172 $11,838,000 1,663 26,659
6. Essendon 669,016 $12,714,300 1,730 26,523
7. North Melbourne 586,153 $11,894,200 1,755 26,167
8. Richmond 683,408 $12,013,900 1,701 25,948
9. Western Bulldogs 605,939 $11,656,900 1,543 25,710
10. West Coast 632,497 $12,373,100 1,562 25,518
11. Fremantle 858,269 $12,560,600 1,638 25,131
12. Melbourne 547,487 $12,314,600 1,703 25,075
13. St Kilda 792,590 $11,722,200 1,739 24,827
14. Brisbane 396,238 $11,681,000 1,606 24,603

17. Gold Coast 1,124,748 $10,625,800 1,596 21,968

'the fantasy ladder'

obv. would need to do some calculations to the overall (e.g. divide gc, adelaide, st.k, melb, frem, wc, hawthorn, collingwood by 15 and the others by 16 to get their average but maybe pair up them in average order - for a SC fair thing)

That order would make the merged teams:

Hawthorn/Gold Coast
Carlton/Port
Collingwood/Brisbane
Geelong/Adelaide
West Coast/Bulldogs
Fremantle/Richmond
Sydney/North
Essendon/St. Kilda

And We'll Draft Melbourne?

If we're going to draft, just picking players we want should suffice. Otherwise how do we decide when to move on from team to team?

^Not sure what you mean Cynic.

You also must have a maximum list of 45, with a rookie list of a maximum of 6.

... It's not that hard to understand.

It's called a regular draft. Y'know, like every post-season in the real thing?

Except we're picking who we want regardless of the team. This just makes it confusing.

I like to pick my ruckmen first, for example. I'm sure as F*** not picking from those two teams.

Regular Draft would take way too long. Try and get started, Have a minor friendly round perhaps at the end of the season, then go through the off-season have our normal draft.

OR. We could try for 17 players. I think I know where I can get some, We have 9 in at the moment.

No it wouldn't.

http://forum.sportal.com.au/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2473708#post2473708

Since a Sunday ago I have 5 players.

No reason to believe we can't do better than that in a week if we're serious.

Difference between Sportal & TFW is quite big in terms of activity.

If I can get 17 coaches, We'll do what we did previously. And for the introduction of GWS, They'll start with their original team. So teams that have players go there will be compensated fairly.
