Support them both as I supported the Victory before the Phoenix came in mate. Looks like its going to be a sell out tonight for the match, should be a beauty to watch. I am confident the Victory can win aslong as Covic can back up from his performance against Sydney and not let in any goals. Our attackers have the skills to score a few goals. Kewell will score his first goal for the club tonight although I wouldn't be too disappointed as he doesn't as it would be awesome if he scored his first goal in Melbourne in front of a packed out crowd.

Not long to Adelaide v Melbourne Grin Gonna be a ripper of a match.

Hernandez is back so that makes Allsopp fall out of the team. From what I hear Kewell will be lone up front with Hernandez in behind him.

C'mon boys! Victory 2-1 I reckon.

Bloody disappointing result. Not a good start to the season for us.

Covic had another good game for us, made some good saves. Leijer getting sent off killed us, just couldn't create much going forward. Broxham had to go to CB and cost us the goal. We did get a bit sloppy in the 2nd half missing some simple passes.

Anyway bring on the derby next week!

Adelaide won 1-0
Van Dijk scored from a really poor error by Fabio
Thought Vidosic and Carravella were outstanding for United

Leijer got sent off in 57th minute and after that was all Adelaide
Could have been 3-0

A win against Perth and were above Victory 

Saying we're nothing is a harsh call. Yes we've been poor in our first 2 games but a team with the players Kewell, Hernandez, Allsopp, Thompson, Rojas & Solorzano we really should start getting some results together soon.

Also we a terrible call on Leijer's first yellow card. He did absolutely nothing.

Yer the whole Kewell thing has been overhyped but yer we've got the squad but need to start playing like we are on the same page.

Not a good performance by the Victory, full credit to Adelaide though, they deserved the win. Kewell up front doesn't work, think we need to bring back Alsopp. Covic had another good game, made a few small mistakes but they didn't result to anything. Good crowd too, thats three in a row now Adelaide have won against the Victory, hopefully Melbourne can stop that streak next time they play. Bring on the derby next week, going to be awesome with a massive crowd at Etihad Stadium once again and hopefully we can score our first goal!

Wow James Brown has done it again! A terrific finish into the top left corner. Definitely a chance for back-to-back Goal of the Week.

Wellington defeated Newcastle 2-0. 2 shocking red cards given to Wellington. Nicky Ward was given a red for bringing down a Jet player outside the box but there were at least 2 players in front of him. And Tim Brown gets a 2nd yellow for apparantly time wasting which was a shocking call.

they were ridiculous decisions, Gillett is an incompetent Twat!!!

in any case disappointed Victory lost, just didn't look very dangerous...i'm looking at you Mehmet! Kewell as a striker just doesn't work

i just hate his tactics, Kewell has never been best as an out and out striker, especially as the only striker, he needs to be where Carlos is, whether Carlos is around or not!

The omission of Allsopp annoyed me as it's a reaction to one game, and since taking over he's done shit all about our defensive issues. He's just not a Postecoglou or an Arnold, there's little to no success in his past, and he looks out of his depth

i'm definitely being a bit too harsh on him though

Really disappointed yesterday
We are playing the wrong type of game, we have pace up front with Mate, Terra, Maycon and Williams but we keep bombing long crosses in.
Smeltz is all class, 2 opportunities means 2 goals
Clint Bolton please return, cant have this banana in goals anymore

Victory next week, hopefully sets up our season

Brisbane vs Gold Coast getting underway soon. I'll tip Brisbane 3-0.

Can't wait for the derby tomorrow night! Fred is out for the Heart which is good for us. Apparantly Hernandez wont be starting so in that case I'll predict we'll play this:
Covic
Franjic - Vargas - Foschini - Fabio
Brebner - Celeski
Rojas - Kewell - Thompson
Allsopp
