good games last night, still rough luck for Wellington

will be there tonight, although i'm expecting a demolition of the weakest defence in the league, Brisbane need to put 5 past us to make us start realising that even with all our attacking options, we'll never compete for the finals without a defence that can back it up

i thank Covic for that, we've let in way too many chances each week, and it's only Covic that's helped that stat.

It's kind of why i expect Brisbane to punish us for what has been sloppy in the last few weeks that we've been fortunate to get away with

2 red cards in the first half for melbourne, killed the game. brisbane held onto the ball looking for a gap never found it. williams killed the game with the 2nd red card. i feel we could of won if it was 11-10 or 11-11

so...that didn't go as planned....

shit defending first minute...red card...was waiting for the Roar onslaught...it just never came :S

i'll take that draw happily...even if it was just 9 Victory players defending the whole second half

Poor form to all the Victory fans booing Theoklitos, he left to go overseas...we had Langerak...so it was logical to join Brisbane...won 2 titles with us...should be welcomed as a legend...not a traitor...

So stoked to get a point from that. The young goalie Thomas was awesome, really stood up. After the first goal and red card I thought we were gonna get smashed and then even more so when Foschini was sent off. But well done to the boys on holding on?

Archie was immense 2 terrific goals and held the ball up well when he needed to. Was Foschini's tackle worth a red? I was a long way from it so I didn't get a good look.

Was a terrific atmosphere as well. This crowd of 25,000 definitely created a better atmosphere than the previous 2 games which pulled 40,000.

Awesome to get a point out of last night. Covic maybe deserved to get sent off but Foschini's send off was an absolute joke! Thomas was great when he came on and how good was Archie Thompson, him and Kewell are just going to get better the more games that they play together. Brisbane played too conservative which may have cost them getting the three points. Three draws on home ground this season now, hopefully we can get the win next game that we play at Ethad. Bring on the CCM, need a win to get back around 4th spot.

Anyone watch Gold Coast vs Sydney? Outstanding game! Emerton and Carle were incredible in the second half

another contentious penalty!!! looks like it was there to be fair to the ref, but jeez it was a good game (entertainment wise of course...the a-league is never 'good' for quality Wink )

it could be messy for Wellington...

Keen to see how we go without Kewell, especially as it's been the players who have been around longer who have started the season better, Mariners have looked decent too so it'll be an interesting game

0-0 is a pretty good result for us against the Mariners considering we had no Kewell, Hernandez, Covic and Foschini. Thomas was OK but didn't have to do much because our defense we superb. Adrian Leijer was M.O.M in my opinion, he was immense. Vargas made a terrific line clearance as well. Central Coast were clearly the better side so a point is good but hopefully we can get the 3 next week against Perth.

one interesting moment in the game was the epic clearance by Vargas and the header that just didn't cross, the rest really wasn't that exciting, decent defensive display though

Honestly thought that header crossed the line for all money, great officiating.

Heart/Jets was a great game i thought, the rest have been fairly average. Will be interesting to see how the heart go now without Dugandzic (clearly their best player this year) Behich and Hoffman. Also possibly Terra and Fred.

Not a bad result at all getting a point away from home with a team that was down on some real stars, Kewell, Hernandez, Foschini and Covic. Thought that our defence was outstanding, has been reasonably good all year. We need to start getting some wins on the board though, a few too many draws. Hopefully a good winning streak for us can start next week at home against Perth Glory. Hopefully Kewell can score his first goal!

Heart/Jets game was great to watch... brilliant finish from Behich and Dugandzic is in lethal form at the moment. It was only a matter of time before they picked up all three points, also heard it was their biggest ever win in the A-League thus far. Well done, will no doubt take some pressure off JVS.

How on earth did Perth not score against Sydney in the second half? Complete domination from the Glory... would have been some headline if Vukovic stole a point for Perth at the death. Laughing Nick Carle once again MOTM - quality performance.

Fantastic to finally get our first win
We are a much better side with Fred in it
I thought Behich and Dugandzic were great, will be hard to cover them next week
Also real impressed with Babalj when he came on
He played better than that other twit Maycon

Big game next week again GCU

2 points dropped. gunna be tough for the rest of the season if teams keep using those tactics.

And fkn boring for the A-League if that's the case.

Injuries have killed the Phoenix of late, can definitely understand why they parked the bus and credit to them... huge point for themselves - Warner was just unstoppable today. Although in saying that on another day Brisbane would have scored three or four... Issey and Danning really should have sealed it. Mitch Nichols was certainly missed in midfield for the Roar... the loss of Nichols, definitely allowed Wellington to put more emphasis into stopping Broich.

The Jets should fancy their chances next week at home as should the Nix against the Reds.

Victory are kidding themselves if they think that they are title contenders...no where near up to them couldn't even hold on to a two goal lead against a 10 man Perth.

Bloody joke. Very lucky to get the point as well because the penelty we won was a joke, good tackle it was. As jtm said, Archie has been immense this season, they only guy giving us a chance. We just don't have any good transition from defence to attack.
