Correct, with ESL teams buying Aussie and New Zealand talent, it causes less squad spots for younger English players and that is one reason why they're team has gone downhill a bit. Not enough emphasis on developing local talent and instead importing players.

I think it's probably the most even between the big three for quite a while; Australia weakened by Injury. NZ have players that are quick on the rise (Johnson, Foran) and two players that are still relatively young and with it (Benji and Issac Luke) they have a great core there that will serve them well for the next 5+ years)

England have recruited Chase, Reed and Heighington who already boasts Widdop & Ellis from the NRL also have Sam Tomkins at the back.

Brent Tate has came into the Aussie squad on standby for Greg Inglis. If he plays, what a story it will be.

New Zealand have lost stars Shaun Johnson, Manu Vatuvei and Steve Matai for this month's rugby league Test with Australia.

The trio, who last weekend contested the NRL grand final, were all ruled out of the clash with the Kangaroos in Newcastle on Sunday week, as well as the Four Nations tour after failing team medicals on Friday.

Warriors duo Johnson (back) and Vatuvei (knee, wrist) have battled injuries throughout the season, while Manly premiership-winner Matai suffered a flare up of shoulder and neck complaints, which could require surgery.

Krisnan Inu and Elijah Taylor, who also played for the Warriors in last Sunday's 24-10 loss, move into the side along with North Queensland rookie Kalifa Faifai Loa.

With Taylor and Faifai Loa joining the squad, coach Stephen Kearney now has seven international rookies at his disposal for the Four Nations tournament, which starts in England later this month

Is it a stupid question to ask if the Four Nations will be aired on Channel 9 or exclusive to Fox Sports?

Much better performance on the weekend by the boys. Still alot of improving to do if we want to win the tournament again but we always get better the longer into the tour. Benji Marshall really needs to step up his game, he has had two below average games in a row. He needs to sort it out otherwise we don't stand a chance of going back to back. No one really stood out for us, very disappointed in the halves though. Foran and Marshall took no control of the game. Can't wait too see Proctor hopefully get a go against Wales!

Not a pretty win by the Kiwis last night but we still got the job done. Benji and Foran still haven't stepped up to the mark whatsoever in the three games. Thought that Thomas Leliuai was very good and deserved the man of the match award. Still plenty of things to work on throughout the week thats for sure. Will be good to have Mannering back too! Was extremely sad too see Slater go down in the Aussie game, hopefully he can recover fast and will be back for the pre season trials in January. Cooper Cronk was great when he came on!

Was watching Australia's structure and I think Inglis definitely
suffered from 1) Not having Billy on the field to feed him the ball that
he is used to for Melbourne, QLD and Australia and 2) Having T-Rex on
the same side which I think limits him getting ball for Souths because
DT is on the left hand side of the field

GI will play against Wales; Despite running the risk of potential injury
he almost has to needs the match fitness for the Final as that was the
first game he's played in 2 or 3 months; Sheens will want him to be up
to scratch for the final.

Although both Inglis and Uate were both quiet I didn't see much quality
ball given to either to them; GI got given ball in Traffic and didn't
get any early chances with the ball; He just had very limited
opportunities as most of the play was directed towards Lewis's and
Lawrence's flank.

Sam Tomkins is very slippery and elusive and there isn't alot of him and reminds me alot of Josh Dugan but far more impressive.

Luke Lewis was one of Australia's Best and turned back the clock after
being shifted to left wing; Could definitely do a pass job or possibly
better if he is required to play there again.

The Halves for Australia were very quiet for most of it and as mentioned
above Cronk really made a big difference when he came on.
