PostSubject: 151st Melbourne Cup Discussion   Mon Oct 10, 2011 12:34 pm

I know there won't be much talk for another 2 weeks so i thought i would start this up.

So far my pick Scarlett Lady pulled out of Spring so i am looking at December Draw who races this weekend in the Caulfield Cup.

Americain will run again so who do you guys fancy?

I'm flying over for it again this year after enjoying my first Melbourne Cup last year so much.

Apparantly December Draw is the second shortest favourite in Caulfield Cup history, currently paying $2.80 at the TAB (fixed odds).

Not sure who to back just yet for the Melbourne Cup though. Next couple of weeks with the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate will be interesting though.

Lucas Cranach is a dark horse...he will either run like he did in the Caulfield Cup or he will be close to winning it.

Main danger is Tullamore in that race, from a quick look at field those 2 are above all others

Older than Time if Craig Williams gets to ride this weekend is a brilliant stayer and apparently they are pushing hard for Midnight Martini.

Im pretty keen on Niwot or Dunaden. But more towards Niwot since the track conditions favourite the horse

Not a bad effort Hank Smile

Didn't win anything, had Dunaden and Red Cardeaux in my trifecta. Needed Americain to take out first.

Had money on Illo each way as well, pretty much tore that ticket up as soon as he started leading with 3km to go.

Sadly the fucking pokies cost me more than the race today.
