Is it going to be based off DT 2012 positions, or a 'reasonableness' test?

E.g. Alex Glenn

Let's say he is only listed as a Backrower next year in DT. Can he still be selected at center when it is quite obvious that he can play there and does play there on occassions?

I said it earlier, both. Common sense and whatever they are listed in 2012.

Just to clarify something - will all DreamTeam 2012 listed CTW's be eligible to be named in the 2,3,4 and 5 jerseys for us? Sorry for the 21 questions but it definitely has an impact on draft strategy.

Yes. If someone picks at 12:01am, then the deadline is 6pm.

If they've never played wing before, then they cant be named 2/5.

Since I can sense it coming, I was looking at Fullbacks. That's all.

The deal is if Rugger doesn't make his pick by midnight, Becks is able to make his pick at 12pm tomorrow.

I just want to point out that all the planning and stuff looks good for NRLMG 2012. Good stuff THTR and Roger, looking forward to the drafting.

People that are skipped should get their player at the end of the round, why be rewarded with the next best player for slowing the draft down/missing your pick just my opinion. Unless it's out of the ordinary like someone active missing a pick.

Question regarding halves, can a five eighth be played in a halfback's position, regardless if he hasn't played at halfback before?

If they are a traditional five-eighth of half yes. Playing Feleti or John Sutton at Halfback then No Way.

+1. So the rule is that if you are skipped, you are able to pick anytime, if not, you will get an automatic pick at the of the round to be determined by me.

When you guys have the time it would be useful to post your teams 2011 averages. Obviously these aren't everything, but they certainly help in putting together trade offers and at least provide some indication of a player fantasy value.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but when I look in a teams thread and don't see averages, i'm far more likely not to bother throwing together an offer (particular for lesser players, as opposed to the guns who I generally have a fair idea on what they score)

People tend to focus too much on averages from the previous year imo.. I throw them out .. Take Carney for eg. Dally M year he was a fantasy machine, last year he was average. It's all about taking abit of a punt and predicting how the player will perform and what role he will play in real life.. Obviously the likes of Smith, Hindy etc will always be gun but the players a level down and so one you just never no.. My thoughts.

As I said, averages aren't everything. But they are certainly a good starting point. Then you just have to factor in a few adjustments, like changes in team composition, playing time, style, position etc.

+1

I brought in Carney, obviously a big risk but I feel he'll have a good year in terms of fantasy next year and possibly score 40+, meanwhile he could also get on the piss again and f**k it all up yet again... adds a bit of spice to the game too for myself. IMO getting him for Beau Henry anyway was a massive bargain/

at both of you.

No shit, but it's still more useful if they are there.

I actually didn't see your original post above Becks...

I'll add in the 2011 averages in a spoiler or something in one my first 2 posts in my thread

I just feel with the averages listed people tend to focus on them too much, almost like a distraction. Oh no i can't do that trade i lose by 2 points.. I'd urge people to take them down tbh.
