| Does anyone else have an interest in the weather? Because i would like to discuss it with you. I mostly like extreme weather - i probably check the charts on the bureau of meteorology every day and like tracking the cyclones and severe thunderstorms. I'm in a pretty good area for it in SE Qld. I like to think i take some alright photos of storms/clouds as well and might post one or two here. Feel free to post your own. It would also be nice to have some feedback from like-minded people now and then. |

| I am not as keen as you but i do look at BOM everyday and watch the storms / rain to see if it's coming. |

| Yeah I'm pretty interested in weather and the like. In fact, I was contemplating of studying meteorology in Uni but decided to do Law but I still have an interest in weather.
This may sound kinda nerdy but I like synoptic charts and weather forecasts/extremes also lol. |

| One of the areas of science that I wouldn't mind looking at are the extreme weathers. I keep an ear out, but I don't focus a hell of a lot of time on it |

Yeah he's an awesome teacher aye. The one lecture i looked forward to each week. His analogies are hilarious. He knows what he's on about too. You know how some people are just funny by just being there. He is that guy. He's awesome. I wish i got the regional channel 7 because they get the best coverage with livio doing the weather. |

Good old Livio he is a deadset legend and I have to say probably the smartest weather man I have ever met and had the pleasure to watch on the news. Can't for the life of me work out why he isn't on Brisbane news but I suspect it's his decision. |

Because people in Brisbane never have to care about weather for their livelihoods, and people in cities are stupid. The ads are more important to the networks (and the idiots running them [employ me!!!]). Like Livio himself said to me: The aim of a weatherman (to the networks) is to get people to watch the ads around them. |

| Why do television networks advertise their weatherpeople by saying he/she is a meteorologist? I don't need a meteorologist to read off a teleprompter, they'd be far better off just having the best looking bird at the station do it. |

| But if they put the best looking bird on then people would be concentrating on their foreskins rather than the forecast Nah, they say they're meteorologists to try and look professional and all knowing. The general public would rather hear their weather from a meteorologist, because it sounds flashy and smart. |

| and after all they'd need someone to write what their sayin - a meteorologist - so its easier to pay one person then there's sunrise and today... |
