Did anyone see that bloke fall out of the grandstand when reaching for a homer. Pretty scary stuff.

Yeah luckily they don't have the vision, but the reaction from the crowd and behind the plate umpire told the story. I only posted it on Sportal unfortunately, but yeah, hopefully the person is doing OK.

I saw that too how far did he fall again, it was pretty sad looking at the players faces

He fell 30 feet. From the second tier to the bottom.

ESPN reporting that the Yankees are the front-runners to get Cliff Lee from the Seattle Mariners in a trade. If they do indeed get Lee, then their rotation will be simply unbelievable. I mean better than the Wade/James/Bosh trio. I'm talking C.C. Sabathia, Andy Pettitte, A.J. Burnett, Phil Hughes and Cliff Lee. That's scary going into October if it happens, plus the amazing hitting the Yankees already have.

Luckily for Burnett, Cliff Lee has been traded to the Texas Rangers. What did it for the Mariners was that the Rangers were prepared to give up their top prospect. Massive coup for the Rangers, definitely the best team in the AL West. I still think the Yankees are the best team in the AL though.

Well a day after looking like being traded, Roy Oswalt might just stay as Astro' after all. All interested parties (Phillies, Dodgers, Cardinals & Twins) all either don't have the prospects the Astros are after or Roy just doesn't want to go which is the case for the Phillies. He is due $15M in 2010, $16M in 2011 and a team option of $16M in 2012, however he has said if he isn't pitching at the level he is now by the end of the 2011 season, he will retire.

Interestingly enough, his W/L record in 2010 is 6-12 which is his worst ever (he's never had a losing season in this his tenth year in the MLB). His ERA of 3.42 is also the best it's been since 2007. The problem? The hitting for the Astros this season has been ordinary.

The MLB should be deleted. I love baseball, but there's simply no one else that actually watches it, hence I never post about it. There is no point even though the MLB Playoffs are as good, if not better than the NBA and NFL Playoffs.

To be fair... I actually enjoy the Baseball, its just with no-one else talking about it, posting on it has very little point to it.

Hopefully Philly can rally againts the Giants. I'd love to see Cliff Lee go againts his old team in the World Series. Pitching in game 1 aswell.

Also Texas win yesterday was vital for their World Series hopes. If Lee had to pitch in game 7, he wouldn't have been able to pitch game 1 and probably would've had to pitch in games 3 + 7 again. Something you don't want your best pitcher doing.

giants clinched it today, they have a great young pitching staff with a great young catcher, look for them to be there or there abouts for a few years to come

Fear The Beard!

Was able to time my flicking back and forward between the NFL game to watch the 9th inning which was good.
Congrats San Fran, very much deserved it from what I saw of the WS.

the red sox have traded for adrian gonzalez. im soooo stoked about this. he is a genuine superstar, and should own it in fenway park! they hope to get him to sign a extension during spring training also, which would be great. now just sign carl crawford and watch out yankees!
