CRICKETER Mitchell Johnson isn't the only one in training during the tour of South Africa, with girlfriend Jessica Bratich making a comeback to karate.
The wives and girlfriends arrived last week for the break between the second and third Tests and many of the players have spent the time carrying shopping and baby bags.
Johnson has had to hold a kick bag.
His girlfriend Jessica Bratich is making a comeback to karate and Johnson has been wrangled in to help with training.
The 27-year-old gave up the sport when she left Perth to be with Johnson in Queensland, but the pair moved back to the west coast last year and she is ready for another assault on the world titles.
She captured the attention of many at this year's Allan Border Medal ceremony when the wind played havoc with the daring, draped Ruth Tarvydas silk gown she wore, blowing it open to reveal her underwear.
But Bratich was the first Australian woman to win a medal at the karate world titles in more than a decade with a bronze in 2006, but hopes to go one better next year at the championships in Serbia.
"This is the first time training with Mitch," she said.
"The problem is that when we do it he seems to want to fight, he gets right into it."
Bratich was aiming to compete at the Australian Open titles in April.
