We was raped last night. Lost power (again) and sat in the dark watching lightning for quite a while. Spectacular stuff. Gawler River has overflowed (everytime I've been near Gawler River, it's been bloody empty) and various small towns have been evacuated due to flooding. Massive, massive storm.

Absolutely crazy weather.

Sister was just about to leave our house to go home and it just started smashing down with MASSIVE hail. Sister got out of her car and came running in and was nearly in tears as she didn't want to have to claim it on insurance so me and dad and her were out there throwing donnas and stuff over it. He got his head cut a tiny bit and I got some smash side of my knee and all down my back.

The wind was insane there are leaves and then some branches from the bush next to our house.

Hail was insane.

The excess payment is $1500 or some shit like that. I don't know about it and everything as I'm not a car owner but yeah... Plus you don't really want your car to get completely damaged from hail stones.

Here are some pictures I took.

That's insane.

My subburb which is never involved, got a mention on the 7 news update when it said that residents of Crestmead reported hail the size of oranges. Can't say I disagree with those people, it was crazy.

My mum had left about 10 minutes before it all to go to the shops, so after we'd put stuff over sisters car so there wasn't heaps of damage and come in. I was quickly on the phone to her, luckily she had gotten to the shops in times and she just sat in the car for about 15 minutes until it all stopped.

We missed the storm on the Fraser Coast but got the black out.
It was only out for a couple of hours though. I'm not complaining.
