Yeh I am a massive Godfather fan also. Forgot to list them.

Reservoir Dogs is gun, as is Goodfellas.

I have all of them on DVD

Se7en is an underrated movie imo.

Probably my favorite psychological thriller, alongside Silence of the Lambs

I would have agreed as it's truly amazing, but The Departed blew me RIGHT away. Both are absolutely amazing.

One thing about The Shawshank Redemption for me, I can watch it over and over again and never get sick of it.

I would say Snatch has probably the best one liners of any movie, and Bricktop was arguably the funniest character I've ever seen.

Snatch is Guy Ritchie's best movie by FAR.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was also good, I saw that though after I'd seen Snatch a few times so that's probably why I don't rate it as highly as Snatch.

RocknRolla was pretty good too, I heard they're making it into a trilogy but it's not fact yet I don't think.

Road To Perdition and Catch Me If You Can are another two GREAT Tom Hanks movies.

And how about Turner and Hooch. That really does bring a tear to my eye whenever I see it.

PostSubject: Re: Movies   Tue May 26, 2009 2:57 pm

Watched two VERY good movies today.

- 'Looking For Alibrandi' was the first one and I REALLY enjoyed it. Hadn't seen it before too and I just thought it was a really great story. Also, because I'd never seen it, and noticing Bert Newton's son in it, I did laugh at first but I thought he was very good in it, and I also thought Pia Miranda was fantastic as well. She's a very good actor. 8/10.

- The other was 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'. Must say it was very good too, not as good as 'Looking For Alibrandi' but Leonardo DiCaprio once again stole the show. He was simply BRILLIANT in this movie, one of his truly finest performances, on par with The Departed and The Basketball Diaries. 7/10 for mine.

Pretty good movies, I prefer Gilbert Grape though. Both have grown incredibly annoying though after watching them hundreds of times and doing so many essays and peices of work on them in English (Alibrandi in year 9 and Gilbert Grape in year 10)
