Yeah it's an awesome film. Don't quote me on this, but it reminded me a lot of the novel 1984 (which is really good I might add). Whether they actually based it on the novel or not I'm not too sure, but it's a fantastic film. Weaving as V was brilliant.

Never read the novel 1984 but it would be good. I've seen the movie for it but don't remember much about it. Very interesting concept though.

Its actually based on its own book (well more of a comic book series) of the same name from Alan Moore. He also wrote comics like Watchmen and From Hell (the movie with Johnny Depp, another top movie too). Havent heard too much about 1984 but i'll have to check it out.

As for Hugo Weaving, what an underrated actor.. Hes fantastic in nearly everything i've seen him in and really doesnt get the accolades he deserves.

I think that 1984 and V for Vendetta are pretty different, even if they have the main 'freedom vs. the state' theme running throughout, but they are hardly the only novel/movie to use that theme.

Still, it's a pretty good movie and of cause an excellent novel.

Seen 21 and Zombieland recently.

21 was awesome but Zombieland was pretty meh. A few laughs but pretty boring tbh.

Saw 'The Other Guys' at the cinemas today, tbh it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

Just finished watching 'The Pelican Brief' for the first time in some time. Nothing recent but quality flick for anyone that hasn't seen it before.

That was a late night movie a little while ago that i watched since i was bored (hadn't seen it before) and boy was it f***ing shit. I'm pretty sure i'm thinking of the right one it had that dude in it with a big tat on his back and he hooked up with some chick that couldn't see? Trash imo.

It's definitely the worst of the three, just like te book was the worst of the three. And yeah the tattted guy and the blind girl, that's the one. Is the prequel to SOTL.

Anyone ever heard of a movie called 'Spread' featuring Ashton Kutcher? The first 30 minutes it's like a soft core porn movie with about 5-6 full on sex scenes, then it really gets into the storyline and stuff. But basically it's about Ashton Kutcher's character and how he hasn't got anything in life (no job, no car, no house) but screws older women to live the life in LA. Quality movie haha, had me in stitches at times. 7/10.

Can't say I have heard of that one Sparky; interesting storyline, I must say. Not common to hear something like that. If I may ask, what is it rated? 30 minutes of sex scenes, im Surprised its something i've never heard any bloke mention!

Must have watched They're a weird mob at least 100 times in the past week, fantastic movie about Nino Colotta; an italian man who came to Australia in the 60's seeking work. While its hilarious and a real Australian classic, it deals with the racism and hard work Italians had to do in order to gain a positive place in Australian society back in the heavy immigration times.

R18 haha.

Nah in the first 30 minutes there's 5-6 sex scenes. Very graphic haha. I was laughing my head off watching it, as were my mates.

Watched the first two episodes of the new HBO miniseries "Boardwalk Empire".

Set in 1920's Atlantic City just after prohibition has been brought in.

AMAZING.

Watch this show.

Saw "The Other Guys" today (was hoping to see TWTWB, but it wasn't playing until late)

Was quite amusing. Not groundbreaking, but definitely passable IMO.

Such a fucken good movie. Ronnie, the little black kid in it, is bloody awesome. One of the funniest movies I've seen this year.

Teacher: Watch your language, Ronnie.
Ronnie: My language is English and this mother fucker tried to grab my junk. Laughing

Wheeler: What up, Ronnie?
Ronnie: I don't wanna take my pants off!
Wheeler: What? Laughing

Danny: God dammit Ronnie!
Ronnie: What? Because I'm black you think I did it?
Danny: No, because you did it is why I think you did it.
Danny: Let me tell you something, I am not your big, but I'll hit you. I will hit a child. I've never done that before, but I will punch you in the face.
Ronnie: Let's dance, Ben Affleck! Laughing
