My beef is with channel 7 who for some unknown reason decide to show the 1pm Sydney North Melbourne game in Brisbane instead of the clear game of the round and blockbuster top of the table clash. Surely, surely they could have come to the party. I just feel sorry for the fans of the sport without Fox Sports.

That was just from the matchday thread today but the issue is bigger than that. They rarely show a game live not involving Bris or Syd in QLD or NSW live which is terrible for a sport trying to expand in those areas. They wonder why the 2nd team in Sydney isn't going as well as they thought it's clearly because 7 never shows it live.

As a league fan yes I would probably choose the NRL on a Friday night over the AFL but on Sunday I would watch the Live AFL over a replayed league game. So those who like the AFL on a Fri night would much prefer to watch it live or if need be straight after Better Homes and Gardens instead of two crappy movies and then the game at 1am.

The issue needs to be raised with better support because it really is a disgrace for the AFL and channel 7.

Luckily for those Queensland/New South Wales fans who have Fox Sports they can at least watch the footy live. But like you say it's a disgrace for those who can't watch it live and something should be done about it.

The AFL coverage treats the area I live very poorly. We are a fair bit away for sydney and yet we get all their games live.

Our Friday night footy has a 2hr delay (only 1 behind melbourne).
We get Saturday Afternoon footy live thank god.
Saturday Night Footy will get a 3-6hr delay unless Sydney are playing then its 30-1hr delay.
Sunday Afternoon Footy is always live whether its Sydney or anyone else

But the thing that gives me the cr@ps is the fact that Sydney play most of their games at the same time as the lions or when they don't the coverage will be showing another game or the game will be on 3-6 hour delay. I have only see 2 Lions games (at a semi decent time aka within 2 hours of the bounce) in the H&A season this year where I live.....There will be 1 more game I see where I live next year with my team playing...maybe 2 depending on the draw.

Its simply if u live in or near nsw you will see swans games 90% of the time.
In Qld you'll see Brisbane games 90% of the time (I wish I lived there)
Adelaide and Perth get the best coverage in the country. They get every port/crows or wce/dockers game live. So they will often get 3/4 games on FTA per round

I was pretty un impressed with channel ten this week, didnt get the saturday night game live when it always is. I belive 2 live matches should be shown every weekend in Victoria

I've got no expectations of C7, they've proven they're utter shit. When do they run out of contract?
