| With Ronaldos blistering form for the Corinthians and at a good fitness level. He has voiced his desire in the past to play in another world cup and with South Africa being his last chance should Brazil take him?
Form is not a worry with the big man hitting 13 goals in 17 appearances in the league. Throughout his career Ronaldo has constantly shown resilience in getting through difficult times he just kept coming back after the knee injuries, the weight critics, his marriages and other things. He thrives on the big stage and has valuable experience to bring with him if he were to be chosen.
Usually 4 strikers are taken in the 23 man squad meaning that Luis Fabiano, Robinho and Pato would surely occupy the first 3 spots but then the 4th choice could be anyones. Adriano, Vagner Love, Nilmar, Jo and Rafeal Sobis would compete with Ronaldo for the 4th striking option you would think. Ronaldo was only 17 when he was chosen for the 1994 world cup and although he didnt play a part he gained valuable experience. Maybe Brazil will do the same and choose youth with Kerrison or Neymar and plan for the future.
Ronaldo brings with him Goals, one of the most prolific strikers to grace the planet. Depending on the form of Adriano and Vagner Love i think Ronaldo should be included into the squad. A Ronaldo at 60% is better then others at 100%
Who would you take to South Africa |

| I think they should, he has plenty of experience and has goals. I think Adriano will be his only competitor really for the 4th spot. I pretty much agree with your whole post, well written Bird |

| Cheers, id really like to see him there. It would be great to see him add goals to his record and his within a few caps of becoming Brazils 3rd all time capped player. It would be a great story, and i think worth the risk |

Thats the thing its not like they are losing anything by taking the man, they are getting an experienced player who the young kids would look up to and thrive from his experience.. Brazil seem to be going for youth these days yeh? thats why i feel he will miss out but who knows._________________ RIP Marco Simoncelli 1987 - 2011

| Yeah Dunga seems to prefer the less-known (cant think of the right word) players rather then the big superstars because fo their egos. He has done a good job and has blooded alot of home based players throughout the qualifying stages like Nilmar who hit a hat-trick the other week. |

| Is Jo needed? Adriano needed? Wagner Love needed? I dont think they are, its for the 4th striker position, pretty much for back-up incase of injury or to give others rest. |

| I'd prefer to put a young lad as a 4th striker instead of Ronaldo. |

| Just checked the Amauri situation out, and he hasnt stated who he'd rather play for, so i guess that we should include him in this then |
